Washington Medical Commission Recruiting for Vacancies
The Washington Medical Commission, which establishes, monitors, and enforces qualifications for licensure, consistent standards of practice, and continuing competency, will have openings for several commissioners beginning July 1, 2023:
- One physician representing Congressional District 2 (Whatcom, Skagit, San Juan, and Island counties, plus extreme western Snohomish County)
- One physician representing Congressional District 4 (Benton, Douglas, Grant, Kickitat, Okanogan, and Yakima counties)
- One physician representing Congressional District 10 (western Pierce County excluding central Tacoma and the northern 2/3 of Thurston County)
- One physician at large
WMC is also recruiting for two public members who are not physicians. Commission members are appointed by Gov. Jay Inslee.
