Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is looking for a Direct Primary Care Physician to provide care for SEL employees and family members at our on-site health clinics. Enjoy a great work life balance with no on-call work and scheduled hours!

As a Direct Primary Care Physician, in the SEL Health Clinic a typical day might include the following:  

  • Provide high quality primary care to SEL employees and family members of all ages with an average of 8-16 clinic visits per day.
  • Supervise Nurse Practitioner ancillary staff in the SEL Health Clinic.
  • Monitor and evaluate the outcomes of the SEL Health Clinic, including clinical and provider services.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge base and continually expand clinical care aptitude.
  • Engage in education of all Health Clinic staff to improve the healthcare literacy of SEL.
  • Engage in and promote activities that improve price transparency in healthcare and lower healthcare costs at SEL and in the community.

This job might be for you if:

  • You place a high value on developing true long-term patient-physician relationships, spending ample time educating and empowering in longer clinic visits, and strongly believe that the fee-for-service model doesn't fit true primary care
  • You are a licensed as an M.D. or D.O. in good standing
  • You are Board Certified in one of the primary care specialties
  • At least five years of clinical experience as a health care provider in a primary care, urgent care or emergency department setting
  • Current CPR, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification

We would prefer if you had:

  • Previous Experience with supervision of Nurse Practitioners
  • Previous Experience with Pediatrics

Pay Range Data

We base our starting pay offer on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills. Pay range for position is $200,000 - $250,000. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location.

Position Details:
Proudly serving a largely migrant and Latino community.
Full scope panel including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
Certified bilingual Medical Assistant dedicated to assisting in translation and patient care.
1.0 FTE (40 hours a week with 34 hours of clinical and 6 hours of admin time)
After hour call schedule is no less than 1:4.
EMR system is EPIC.
Clinic Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 5:30 pm.
