WAFP President Interviewed

WAFP President Carla Ainsworth, MD, MPH, was interviewed by KING-5 TV in Seattle for a feature on new patients’ difficulty in finding a primary care physician.

“On the patient side, we know there are some folks who weren’t getting care for the last few years, in part because of the pandemic. So there’s been an increased demand for new, patient visits,” Ainsworth said.

She also talked about turnover among family physicians and the administrative burden that may cause medical students to choose other specialties.
