New Resource for Clinicians Treating SUD: The YesWeCan ListServ
With support from the Washington State Legislature and the Washington State Health Care Authority, the Washington Society of Addiction Medicine has launched the YesWeCan listserv.
The listserv offers peer support to those providing care to individuals with substance use disorder. Clinicians can use the listserv to address questions related to opioid withdrawal, initiation of MOUD, poly substance use, ongoing and whole person health care, pain management, communication strategies, and shared decision making, according to WSAM.
Questions can be emailed to yeswecannw@gmail.com, and they will be answered between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily.
WSAM also offers a consultation line at 833-937-9326, which is staffed Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. By using that resource, clinicians can get answers about perinatal substance use, including withdrawal management, initiating and titrating medications for substance use, pain management and whole person health strategies for birthing people, newborns, and families.
