New Leadership Elected at Congress of Delegates

PHOENIX — New AAFP leadership was installed at the conclusion of the 2024 Congress of Delegates meeting, including Jen Brull, MD, FAAFP. Brull, of Fort Collins, CO, was installed as president.

The Congress of Delegates also chose a president-elect and a new class of directors. The new president-elect is Sarah Nosal, MD, FAAFP, of New York, and the new directors are Shannon Fowler, MD, CPE, FAAFP, of Marshall, NC; Elizabeth Fowlie Mock, MD, MPH, FAAFP, of Bangor, ME; and Kathleen Mueller, MD, FAAFP, of Windsor, CT. In addition, Russell Kohl, MD, FAAFP, of Stillwell, KS, was re-elected as speaker, and Deron Gersch, MD, FAAFP, of Avon, MN, was re-elected as vice speaker.

The president-elect serves a term of one year before their elevation to president; upon the completion of their presidential term, they serve a year as Board chair. Steven Furr, MD, FAAFP, of Jackson, AL, was also installed as Board chair.
