Mark Your Calendar! WAFP Events in 2023

While there are still numerous AAFP events remaining in 2022 — National Conference, the Congress of Delegates, and FMX, just to name a few — WAFP has begun finalizing its calendar for 2023. We hope you’re able to join us!

2023 Family Medicine Advocacy Day will be held Feb. 6, and we are planning to be in person in Olympia. (Among the factors determining whether the event is virtual or in person is how open the Capitol Campus in Olympia is.) FMAD is a way for WAFP members to connect with their state legislators and discuss issues that are critical to advancing family medicine in Washington. A morning session lays the groundwork for the afternoon, when attendees meet with their legislators and their staffs. If you have questions or would like to learn more, email WAFP’s Director of External Affairs Brian Hunsicker.

The 66th House of Delegates will be held Friday, April 28. As with FMAD, we anticipate holding this event in person at a to-be-determined location. Delegates shape the Academy’s work over the coming year by debating and honing policy resolutions brought to the House. In addition, delegates elect new WAFP leadership. It’s been a long time since our last Family Fun Night, and we are certainly looking forward to hosting our members and families again!
