Mark your calendar for November 4th and join WAFP for a virtual Family Medicine Certification Knowledge Self-Assessment (KSA) group study activity. The facilitated discussion format moves the group through important teaching points with the faculty team; the virtual platform and presence of a peer expert encourages discussion, questions for the expert, analysis of possible responses and improved learning. Facilitator Dr. Lydia Bartholomew and WAFP topic expert Dr. June Bredin lead this program.
This activity offers the new Behavioral Health Care ABFM-developed KSA activity combining content from both the current Depression and the Mental Health in the Community KSA activities. Learning focuses on diagnosis and management of depressive disorders, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, substance abuse disorders, autism, ADHD, and comorbid behavioral health conditions.
The event begins at 8:30 AM. And, once completing this activity, eligible participants may receive 10 certification points from ABFM and 8 Live AAFP Prescribed credits. Participants should plan on no less than four hours to complete the program. Register here.
The cost of the activity is $175.00, which covers program costs, staff and faculty activities, and a copy of the self-assessment for review. WAFP staff submits the answers and communicates member participation to ABFM. Residents may attend at no charge.
Please check your ABFM Physician Portfolio to ensure you are eligible to take this KSA Study Group. Visit the ABFM website: www.abfm.org or call the support number at 1-877-223-7437 if you need help determining what modules you need.
