Advance Family Medicine in Congress with AAFP’s Advocacy Ambassadors Program

AAFP has launched its Advocacy Ambassadors program to link members with congressional leaders and elected officials who support the priorities of family medicine and champion legislation and policy that supports family medicine.

As an Advocacy Ambassador, you are part of AAFP’s grassroots advocacy efforts that complement the Academy’s formal lobbying. And AAFP sets you up for success, with training modules and other resources to grow your confidence in engaging with lawmakers. Ambassadors receive lapel pins, swag, exclusive access to events, and member spotlights within AAFP communications.

Advocacy Ambassadors are expected to build and enhance relationships with members of Congress and their staffs while communicating AAFP legislative priorities; amplify Speak Out campaigns and other calls to action; and support FamMedPAC, AAFP’s political action committee.
