AAFP to Hold Town Hall on Supporting Rural Practices
On Aug. 20, the AAFP’s Rural Family Medicine Project Advisory Group will host a virtual town hall to share their work to support AAFP members in rural areas and hear your ideas to shape future initiatives.
The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. Pacific and last for 90 minutes. Registration is open.
Participants can expect to hear:
- Updates on AAFP’s efforts to close gaps in clinical and career resources for rural physicians.
- Advocacy priorities, including physician payment reform, workforce development, and health care coverage in rural communities.
- A national listening session where your voice will help guide future AAFP initiatives and ensure rural needs are represented.
The Rural Family Medicine Project Advisory Group is a strategic initiative launched by the AAFP Board of Directors to elevate rural voices and guide the Academy’s efforts in education, advocacy, and practice support.
