Help Shape Your Academy: Online Testimony Open for AAFP Resolutions
AAFP’s chapters submitted 59 resolutions to be considered at October’s Congress of Delegates meeting in Nashville. Each of those resolutions seeks to affect AAFP policy or work in some way: advocating or opposing a particular issue, expanding AAFP programs or education on a certain topic, or directing AAFP to join other groups in working toward a goal.
These resolutions were written by members like you, reflecting their experiences practicing medicine in different parts of the country. And as an AAFP member, you are entitled to add your thoughts on any or all of these resolutions. Those collective opinions are used to determine how (or even if) AAFP acts upon these resolutions.
At AAFP’s Congress of Delegates and WAFP’s House of Delegates, this feedback is a critical part of the process. And it’s not just theoretical: changes to resolutions are proposed based on feedback, often with the support of the original authors. With more than 128,000 members, there is limitless wisdom and experiences to draw from.
Please consider adding your thoughts today. Find a resolution that speaks to your training or your passion and tell AAFP what you think. The deadline to comment is 9:59 p.m. Pacific on Friday, Sept. 25.
