Bree Collaborative Seeks Comment on Glycemic Control and Anemia Draft Guidelines
From the Bree Collaborative:
Your feedback is requested on the Bree Collaborative’s draft Surgical Optimization: Glycemic Control and Anemia Report and Guidelines. Our workgroup will review all comments anonymously before submitting a final set of guidelines for review and approval by the Bree Collaborative. Please read the draft materials then complete the public comment form; we estimate that this form will take 20-25 minutes to complete. The deadline for public comment feedback is Oct. 30 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific.
This supplement was developed by the Bree Collaborative and the Surgical Optimization workgroup. Bree guidelines are informed by the current best available clinical and scientific evidence from the literature and a consensus of expert opinion and are intended for use in addition to, rather than a replacement of, other published clinical guidance. Guidelines are intended for several audiences including providers, health care facilities, health plans, employer purchasers, state agencies, public health, and others.
About This Public Comment Process
- The workgroup reviews and uses public comments to develop the report submitted to the Bree Collaborative for adoption.
- The final report and guidelines will be submitted to the Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA). This state agency oversees Washington’s largest health care purchasers: Medicaid and the Public Employees Benefits Board Program (PEB).
- Collaborative guidelines guide state purchasing policies for these programs.
- The Collaborative also works to promote implementation of the guidelines across Washington state.
