Two options to protect babies from severe RSV (most babies only need one, not both):

RSV monoclonal antibody: AAP recommends a single dose of Beyfortus (nirsevimab) for:

    • Children who are severely immunocompromised
    • Children with severe cystic fibrosis
    • American Indian and Alaska Native children
  • Usually given October through March

RSV vaccine during pregnancy: CDC recommends a single dose of Abrysvo (RSVpreF) for:

  • All individuals when 32 through 36 weeks pregnant
  • Usually given September through January
