Upcoming CME in Seattle to Focus on Substance Use
In mid-August, the Seattle Convention Center will host events focused caring for patients with substance use disorders.
On Thursday, Aug. 11, the Washington Perinatal and Parenting with Substance Use Summit will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. In-person attendance will cost $45, but virtual attendance is free. The summit is hosted by both state government agencies (the Department of Children, Youth & Families, Washington Courts, the Office of Public Defense, the Department of Health and the Health Care Authority) and private groups (the Washington Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Washington State Hospital Association, and the F.I.R.S.T. Clinic). Registration is open!
Then, from Aug. 12 to Aug. 14, the 2nd National Women and Addiction Group Summit will focus on addiction treatment for pregnant patients. That event is free and sponsored by DOH, HCA, WSHA, the state and national societies for addiction medicine, and Swedish. Registration is open for that event as well.
