- Commission on Health of the Public and Science (5)
- Commission on Membership and Member Services (3)

Members serve four-year terms and are appointed by the AAFP Board of Directors. AAFP’s website has more information on the nomination procedure and expectations for commission members. If you have a question that isn’t answered in those documents, email WAFP’s director of external affairs, Brian Hunsicker. He currently serves as the chapter staff representative on the Commission on Health of the Public and Science.
If you’re ready to submit your nomination, use the form on the AAFP’s website. (Make sure you’re logged in to the AAFP website.) Once your application is received, WAFP will be notified and asked to submit a letter of recommendation on your behalf. Please note the letter of recommendation is dependent upon approval from the WAFP Board of Directors.
AAFP is also accepting nominations to serve as a delegate to the American Medical Association House of Delegates. To be eligible, you must be both an AAFP member and an AMA member; other criteria are available on the AAFP website. Use this link to apply.
