RESOLVED, the Washington Academy of Family Physicians advocate for full coverage of sexually transmitted infection testing without cost sharing, and be it further
RESOLVED, the Washington Academy of Family Physicians advocate that full coverage of gonorrhea and chlamydia treatment, including expedited partner treatment, be required by public and private insurance plans in Washington state, and be it further
RESOLVED, the Washington Academy of Family Physicians advocate for easily accessible treatment of uninsured and underinsured patients and partners, such as by resuming distribution of Expedited Partner Packs to all medical facilities in Washington state that treat sexually transmitted infections, or by other means, and be it further
RESOLVED, the Washington Academy of Family Physicians advocate to relevant organizations, such as Washington State Department of Health, to develop clear prescribing instructions and resources for providers and pharmacists, including when identifying information for the sex partner(s) is not available.
