Family Medicine-Focused Point-of-Care Ultrasound CME (four hours)

WAFP teamed up with the Global Ultrasound Institute (GUSI) to offer an in-person point-of-care ultrasound CME course at the Skamania Lodge in Stevenson, WA. GUSI provides evidence-based Point-of-Care Ultrasound education for physicians of all skills and specialties; this session is tailored for family medicine and family physicians.

At this training, GUSI physician instructors will focus on the introduction of POCUS use for family physicians with high-yield lectures and a hands-on scanning time. We will have many ultrasounds available, so attendees can expect to have plenty of time to practice what they have learned on live models. Topics include a broad overview of areas including scanning of the abdomen, skin, and extremities.

The AAFP has reviewed POCUS and deemed it acceptable for up to 4.00 Live AAFP Prescribed credit(s). Term of Approval is from 04/26/2025 to 04/26/2025. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
