Grassroots Advocacy

When legislators and government agencies hear from family physicians, they listen. Grassroots advocacy elevates family physician voices and highlights the importance of family medicine in our state. Join the WAFP in advocating for primary care, resources, decreased administrative burden and equitable public health policy by taking action online, calling legislative and administrative offices, and/or sending a letter or email.

With your help, our collective voice can elevate the specialty of family medicine.

Key Contacts

Key Contacts is WAFP’s grassroots program connecting members to their legislators, fostering regular communication about issues of importance to family physicians and their patients.

Key Contacts should stay current on Academy policy and initiatives. They should be comfortable speaking on behalf of the Academy according to adopted policies. Key Contacts receive regular briefings and legislative updates during the session.

Join us! Together we’ll make the voice of family medicine even stronger.

If you’d like to become more involved in advocacy, fill out the brief form below. Your legislators want to hear from you!
