Medical Education Reforms in Support of Physician Shortage in Washington

Adopt substitute resolution

RESOLVED, that the Washington Academy of Family Physicians (WAFP) partner with other organizations and medical schools in Washington State to create curricula and reinforce existing programs that prepare medical students for rural practice and increase their likelihood to practice in rural and underserved areas, and be it further

RESOLVED, that the WAFP submit a resolution to the American Academy of Family Physicians 2015 Congress of Delegates asking the AAFP to create, identify, and disseminate model elements of medical school curricula that prepare medical students for rural practice and increase their likelihood to practice in rural and underserved areas.
