RESOLVED, that the WAFP seek partnership with other peer organizations, especially in the area of Public Health, and encourage commensurate resource allocation including paid staff time, to end the discrimination against lower income families resulting from the inverse association between foods that promote obesity, and their cost, and be it further

RESOLVED, that the WAFP delegates to the AAFP take a resolution to the 2014 Congress of Delegates asking the AAFP to seek partnership with other peer organizations, especially in the area of Public Health, and encourage commensurate resource allocation including paid staff time

  • To end the discrimination against lower income families resulting from the inverse association between foods that promote obesity, and their cost
  • To reform of Department of Agriculture policy to better align with the USDA food guide.
