Also, become familiar with Washington State resources and increase your confidence in making appropriate referrals.\nLead testing and family medicine, MaryKate Cardon, DNP, CPNP-PC and co-director of the Region 10 Northwest Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit \nLead exposure is still a significant and preventable threat to children’s health. You’ll strengthen your understanding of testing, risk factors, and actionable levels. We’ll discuss symptoms of lead poisoning in adults and help you work effectively with public health officials.\nSocial determinants of health, Ruaa Hassaballa, MPH, MA, Health Equity Strategist at AAFP and PhD Candidate\nLearn how to use the social determinants of health screening tool, identify key social factors affecting patient care, and connect patients with community resources.
