$25.5B Available for Providers Affected by COVID-19

The US Department of Health and Human Services announced that additional funding will be available for health care workers affected by the pandemic. According to the Washington State Health Care Authority, $17 billion will be available in Provider Relief Fund Phase 4 for a “broad range of providers” who can prove less of revenue and expenses associated with the pandemic.

An additional $8.5 billion will be made available for those who serve rural Medicaid, Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), or Medicare patients.
